Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Analyze and assess business processes within hospitals, clinics, and HIS (Hospital Information System) modules, including Registration, Clinical Examination, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Health Insurance, and related functions.
  • Gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements from clients and stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, accountants, and hospital administrators.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current workflows and proposed technology solutions, recommending improvements tailored to healthcare operations.
2. Documentation & Requirement Specification
  • Prepare business analysis documents, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), User Stories, Use Cases, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Define business requirements for integrations between healthcare systems and external platforms such as patient applications, self-service kiosks, payment gateways, and AI systems.
  • Support the development of data dictionaries and document data structures and data flows for system development and integration purposes.
3. Stakeholder Management & Project Coordination
  • Act as the liaison between healthcare clients and the development team, ensuring business requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
  • Work closely with developers to clarify requirements throughout the design and development process.
  • Develop business test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and participate in solution validation with clients.
  • Monitor project progress, manage change requests, and ensure alignment between project scope and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Healthcare, Healthcare Management, or related fields.
  • Practical experience and strong understanding of healthcare operations, including hospital/clinic workflows or Hospital Information Systems (HIS). This is a mandatory requirement for the role.
  • Good understanding of healthcare service workflows and health insurance (BHYT) reimbursement processes.
  • Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create clear and structured business analysis documentation (BRD, SRS, User Stories, etc.).
  • Strong communication, interviewing, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.
  • Basic SQL querying skills and knowledge of system integration concepts (API/REST, JSON/XML) are advantageous.

Highly Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst for healthcare technology products or projects such as HIS, EMR/EHR (Electronic Medical Records), telemedicine platforms, or patient applications.
  • Healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, etc.) transitioning into technology-related roles.
  • Experience working with Health Insurance, Pharmacy, Billing, and Laboratory modules.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Familiarity with process modeling and wireframing tools (BPMN, Figma, draw.io, etc.) and requirement management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
